Who We Are
We are a dedicated team of friends, family, and acquaintances who all just want to make the world a better place. We have a lot we are trying to accomplish in the future, and projects to help people everywhere. We have people working directly for Azurite, and some people on the outside… Like you! Our volunteers mean a lot to us, but so do our teammates! Here is a little more about our founder and co-founder as well as a few of our colleagues and what we do here.
Founder - Claire Johnson:
Claire Johnson is a 13 year old girl and a passionate advocate for a sustainable future. Claire has dedicated herself to promoting environmental awareness and conservation. Claire is also a skilled writer and speaker, sharing her insights at school and with her friends. Claire's mission is to create a greener future, one small step at a time.
Co-Founder - Selah Rozema:
Selah Rozema is 13 years old and a avid music lover as well as passionate about the environment. Selah believes in the power of music to inspire change. Selah is a key member of our environmental project, where she blends her creativity with her commitment to our team. When she’s not working on the project, you can find her exploring nature with her siblings or friends.
Publicity - Samantha Johnson:
Samantha Johnson is 11 years old and the head of publicity at Project Azurite. Samantha is a hard worker, that alongside her sister, make a unstoppable team that combines her strength and Claire’s wits. With a passion for video games and a knack for building strong relationships, Samantha has successfully crafted impactful ideas that will help us spread the word about our project.
Finances - Traverse Warren:
Traverse Warren is 13 years old and the head of finances at Project Azurite. He is very smart when it comes to finances and is a math expert. Known for his approachable demeanor and hilarious sarcasm, he works diligently to ensure that Project Azurite's financial strategy aligns with its innovative mission. Outside of our projects, he takes care of his 4 ducks and enjoys a lot of different sports.
Software - Christopher Johnson:
Chris Johnson is 41 years old and the head of software at Project Azurite. With over a decade of experience in software engineering and a passion for cutting-edge technology, Chris is dedicated to creating products that enhance user experience. He holds a degree in Computer Science and Mathematics and enjoys mentoring aspiring developers. When he's not writing new software, Chris likes to spend time with his family, including his daughters Samantha and Claire.
Inbox Manager - Alexandra Warren:
Alex Warren is 11 years old and a dedicated and highly organized manager known for exceptional communication skills and attention to details. With a slightly wild and competitive personality, Alex ensures smooth office operations and provides reliable support to Claire. Alex has experience in managing schedules, coordinating meetings, and handling correspondence. Alex plays a vital role in maintaining an efficient work environment alongside her brother Traverse.
About Our Project
We are working towards the vision of making the world a cleaner, kinder, and more eco-friendly place for everyone. We want to help in not just our local areas, but areas everywhere else to! That is why our company is partially volunteer run, because without you this would not be possible… So thank you! This all started with a friendly game of Mario Kart and a little bit of competitive trash talk, “She can have dreams you know!” (Ezra Rozema) Which Claire ended up taking to heart. After that, Claire sat down at the lunch table and told her friends, “I’m starting a non-profit, who’s in?” And since then they have been working tirelessly to get this project on its feet. Our team believes that if we work hard enough we could really make a difference, not just for people, but for the world. We would love it if you came on this journey with us of cleaning up our world, one small step at a time.
